Developing Confidence and Self-Belief in a Compassionate Way

This six week course is designed to support women to develop confidence and improve self belief when balancing the demands of life.

During the course you will notice what you can do that will help you move towards your personal and professional goals as well as address those things that get in the way.

By exploring topics including assertiveness, values, negative thoughts and expectations you can create an alternative compassionate view of yourself.

Picture your best self. Gain clarity on your abilities, identify areas for growth, and develop a personalised plan to reach your goals. All in a supportive and encouraging environment.

  • Do you find yourself saying Yes when you mean No?

  • Do you criticise yourself or give yourself a hard time in a way that you would never treat anyone else?

  • Do you put everyone else's needs in front of your own?

  • Do you hold yourself back from opportunities due to self-doubt?

If this sounds familiar, then...you are most definitely human! But do you think that humans have to continue on the same path or is the very essence of being human, perhaps our ability to reflect and make change, to make improvements that can benefit us and those around us?

​

The hope I held when I wrote this course was that it was possible to simplify the complexity of being a human by paying attention to areas within us that keep us stuck and stop us from reaching our potential. The caveat...you will still be human at the end of the course, life will still happen and bad days will definitely occur....so what's the point?

 

The Point: life is so much easier if we can enter a challenging time with resources: feeling more capable because we have worked to understand our responses, being able to manage because we have alternative strategies to try out and knowing that we are not alone in that.

The compassionate approach helps participants to develop self kindness and self acceptance of where they find themselves and a freedom to move forward with less self criticism or self doubt. The course empowers you to build genuine confidence rooted in self-acceptance and understanding and to embrace your authentic self.

​

Outcome is personal: Each person benefits uniquely. This is your journey, your takeaways, learn what YOU need: No one-size-fits-all here.

The course content can be tailored to needs of the person or group. Shared reflection is encouraged but not essential to get the most out of this experience.

What can I expect?

  • A comfortable warm and friendly environment for our two hour sessions.

​

  • Coffee!! I choose not to function without it! Other hot beverages are available or treat yourself on the way in and bring your favourite beverage from your coffee shop of choice. 

​

  • Expect a supportive, safe and interactive space.  Reflection and communication keep the group fun and meaningful, how you engage is your choice, your voice matters, you use it how and when you want to.

​

  • An enthusiastic, compassionate facilitator, who is genuinely excited to spend time with like minded people and unearth those opportunities for connection and change. I however, am no expert in any subject or life...I'm a regular flawed human and celebrate that!!!

​

  • A slide presentation keeps me on track but is not the focus - yes, there is education and information for me to share - you would expect nothing less, but I aim to share this in as many ways as possible that get us thinking and talking.

​

  • A handout per session with all of that days content. 

 

This is not a team meeting at work or a hark back to school days, this is about you - you deserve to be comfortable. After all, this course is aimed to help us to be more comfortable in our choices, actions and experiences.
